Day at the vet
William and I finally got Lyra to the vet today for her annual vaccination booster. The last time we tried to take her we couldn’t get her in the carrying case. This time we kind of bundled her in, which she wasn’t very happy about but it is for her own good. As well as cat flu she is vaccinated against feline leukemia. The RSPCA recommended we do this as sadly there are cats in the area who have this.
Thankfully, the vet was very gentle and Lyra didn’t feel a thing. I nearly kissed the vet with relief! As an added bonus he even managed to get Lyra to swallow a worm tablet. So, she’s all set for the coming year although the vet recommended that maybe she lose about a pound in weight but overall he thought she looked great with a lovely shiny coat.
Lyra is now having a snooze on the beanbag. When she wakes up she will be getting some lean cooked turkey. One of her favourites. Well, she deserves a little treat for being such a brave girl today.

what a snuggly pillow she got there. I have to give my Charly two shots of insulin every day and he even doesn’t wake up anymore. Your Lyra has deserved a special treat today
I send her an extra hug
What a clever girl Lyra is. If you think its bad taking one cat try three devils they scream the place down and frighten the big dogs.
Hi badgirl, awwww…so glad Charly doesn’t feel the injections. Big cuddles from me and Lyra. xxx
Hi Liz,
Taking three cats to the vet must be a real handful! x
Happy Halloween Lyra, I hope you get lots of treats today
Thank you badgirl. Hope Charly was okay with all the fireworks. xxx
Janice, you have some fabulous photos there of beautiful Lyra. Definitely a contender for our Top Cat Contest!

Hi Dee,
Nice to hear from you on here. Thank you. I think I’ll submit her for the top cat contest this month!
